Breakfast with local products. Very friendly staff. Very close to the historical town of Stein am Rhein. Clean and spacious rooms.
The restaurant is currently closed and will be reopened after the reconstruction (2019?).

A friendly hotel with helpful staff. We loved our view over the river and the balcony. Excellent breakfast. A really good location.
A little bit of assistance with the sauna controls - some notices in English would have been welcomed. I didn't understand at first that the key to the pool was on our bedroom keyring. Expensive for English visitors.

High-class hotel with big, well furnished rooms each with a balcony. It's right in the town but walkable from railway station. Good breakfast.
It is not cheap.

I liked the location to see Stein am Rhein. The stay was also verz comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.
We came to the hotel around 1:00 after a long flight to Zurich. The receptionist was less than helpful saying that it was a "pity" that our room would not be ready until check-in time at 4:00. They were not busy and he did not check to see if even one room was ready for our 80 year old mother to rest. It was impersonal and in poor taste. He also offered coffee and then added it to the bill at 4.50 euro per cup.

Superb location with close access to many interesting places across the region.
A number of things: Our room was overtaken by flies and bugs and whilst the housekeeping manager did a great job to help us the front desk manager was not helpful and her attitude was very poor when trying to resolve our problems. When comparing with other 4 star hotels the breakfast buffet was limited

Smoking allowed in the bar (unacceptable) and rather unfriendly staff.
